Medical Assistance involves the bringing of immediate help in case of a sudden health-related event – accident, sudden illness or hospitalization – whether at home, anywhere in Poland or abroad. It helps the customer to cope with a health problem, providing expert medical help, nursing care, transport to medical centres, care for children and other dependants, and help with organizing life at home during convalescence.

Examples of services available under Medical Assistance:

• Telephone consultation with Inter Partner Assistance Poland medical personnel
• Home visit by nurse or doctor

Making appointments with a doctor

• Medical transportation to hospital or outpatient centre
• Home care by a nurse, physiotherapist, masseur
• Home delivery of medicines, medical and rehabilitation equipment, etc.
• Care for children and others dependent on assistance
• Transportation of children to appointed carers
• Transportation of carer to children
• Help with everyday home tasks (cleaning, cooking, shopping, etc.)
• Arrangement and payment of costs of rehabilitation
• Help from a psychologist
• Personal Medical Assistant – help in arranging a visit to a doctor; checking availability of specialist tests; monitoring of waiting time for an appointment at any centre
