Home Assistance

Home Assistance provides a customer with specialist help to solve technical problems in the home, resulting from malfunction or other unforeseen circumstances.

Home Assistance provides help in case  of damage to the home or its fittings as a result of:

  • malfunction of installed systems
  • flooding of rooms
  • burglary or vandalism
  • fire, lightning strike, explosion, hail, snow, hurricane, flood, fall of trees and masts

Examples of technical services provided under Home Assistance:

  • Specialist intervention.

We arrange an emergency visit by a plumber, locksmith, electrician, roofer or glazier in order to secure the property and prevent further damage.

  • Replacement accommodation.

We provide temporary replacement accommodation, and arrange transportation of the whole family with hand luggage, as well as other items of property, to the place of temporary accommodation.

  • Security for remaining property.

While preparing transport or waiting for repairs, we arrange protection from a professional security firm.

  • Information assistance.

We provide information about specialist repair services, hospital and pharmacy duty hours, and property security services.

  • On-the-spot repairs of household electrical, television and computer equipment.

Home Assistance can also include medical help in case of accident or sudden illness affecting members of the household.

We provide telephone consultation with a doctor or home visits by a doctor.

We arrange transportation by ambulance to a healthcare institution and back home.

  • Nursing care

We provide care given by a nurse during illness and convalescence – at home and in hospital.

We provide childcare and care for other persons requiring assistance at the insured's home, and transport of children to a nominated person accompanied by a carer.

  • We provide pet care

We arrange care for cats and dogs belonging to the beneficiary at their home during time of hospitalization.
